Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Alexander Carballo lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cosmos Soccer Club:s goal. Shawn Romero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Shawn Romero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. With 11 minutes on the clock, Marcus Rush commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jarrett Rosenberg had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Axel Tasis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 13th minute, Axel Tasis made a precise shot to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. Cosmos Soccer Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Shawn Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Shawn Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Shawn Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicky Cavazos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the game Eliseo Noboa made a throw-in which Aaron Alcocer played forward. After 40 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Shawn Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shawn Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. 70 minutes into the match, Patrick Fontenot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Fontenot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Donovan Heath kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmos Soccer Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Eliseo Noboa scored to the left of an out of position Jarrett Rosenberg, making the score, 3-2. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
