After 2 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Kroustallis. Francisco Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Breckenfeld in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kevin Carballal kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Breckenfeld in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Gyál United were awarded a corner. Konstantinos Kroustallis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Konstantinos Kroustallis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horaţiu Petran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Grigore Stoicu got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Breckenfeld came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes in the game, Francisco Seco dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Horaţiu Petran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horaţiu Petran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erwin Bienvenu to maneuver through the defense. The Gyál United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-1.

Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zoltán Varga went, in the 50th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Zoltán Varga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. If Walmir Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Horaţiu Petran managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 62ndth minute of the game Walmir Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Breckenfeld. The Gyál United fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. Zoltán Varga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 87th minute of play. Walmir Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gyál United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Uruguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Uruguay may have spent more time on the ball, but Gyál United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
