The audience was convinced that Frank Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Chaves having to interfere. Orlando Sampaio came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Zorita could save by the left post. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Adelino Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. Adelino Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. When Frank Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ligeiro F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Tasso couldn't finish the play. Ligeiro F.C's Elói Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Barreto went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Bernardo Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Sandro Paulista scored 6-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ligeiro F.C had played much better football throughout.
