Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Barea having to make a save. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Federico Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Barea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Barea saved Terremoto FC from getting behind. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Terremoto FC's Gaston Laurentzi. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When Isidoro Buinton fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terremoto FC's protests and gave Isidoro Buinton a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela made a substitution. Guillermo Espina replaced Jonathan Venegas. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Patricio Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Federico Barea. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. After 59 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. 62 minutes in the game, Patricio Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Federico Barea having to interfere. After 62 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Barea was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Terremoto FC's Federico Barea got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Terremoto FC's Gaston Laurentzi. Terremoto FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Patricio Costa 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Ming in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Terremoto FC's Hilario Duarte managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 93 minute of the game. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
