Julio Vera was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Snorri De Hond capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Snorri De Hond really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Snorri De Hond got free with Julio Vera in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Snorri De Hond received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Snorri De Hond slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Snorri De Hond recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Snorri De Hond showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Franklin Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Snorri De Hond tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute of the match Coice de Mula got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Norbert Kosowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Norbert Kosowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluigi Orange. Coice de Mula's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Snorri De Hond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coice de Mula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Snorri De Hond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Coice de Mula's corner Norbert Kosowski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador were furious when Antonio Arias was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Snorri De Hond walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Snorri De Hond might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Snorri De Hond ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Snorri De Hond in the 57th minute of play. Carlos Gago hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gianluigi Orange. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Snorri De Hond in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Coice de Mula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Massa to maneuver through the defense. Coice de Mula's Romário Custódio was substituted for Franklin Moraes. Coice de Mula made a substitution. Luke Olle replaced Snorri De Hond. A collision led to Coice de Mula getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Téo Massa hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gianluigi Orange came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. After 68 minutes Coice de Mula's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Gianluigi Orange despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Olle in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Olle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Salgado in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Luke Olle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luke Olle in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Salgado in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Norbert Kosowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Olle in the 97th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Coice de Mula's Bobbi Eshammer got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Coice de Mula could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
