In the 26th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Christoffel Portmans. SK Dreigoten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Christoffel Portmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludwig Van der Borght in the 35th minute. Arnout Worteleers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnout Worteleers slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Wirinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Cimino, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 85th minute of play forced SK Dreigoten's goalkeeper Christoffel Portmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, SK Dreigoten's Michael Wirinckx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. SK Dreigoten's Quentin De Becker was substituted for Nickolas Wittemans. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Michael Wirinckx sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. SK Dreigoten's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
