Arturo Carvallo hit a great ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Júnior Zanette was slow to take the kick. During this time Joinville Esporte Clube's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Erivaldo Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Benjamin Lara made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Benjamin Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute of the match, Benjamin Lara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquin Gayoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Gimeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Kong Sang Han was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Kong Sang Han kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Joinville Esporte Clube made a substitution. Gino Vander replaced Aílton Melo. Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha was substituted for Benjamin Lara. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wágner Leme was substituted for Serginho Busquets. After 70 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Cazalla. Jerry Uchiha might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Uchiha ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Maximiliano Escribano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 6-1 to the left of a surprised A.J. 韩文海 80 minutes into the match. If Jerry Uchiha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Uchiha in the 85th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Jerry Uchiha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Sainz hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. The Joinville Esporte Clube support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
