Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 6th minute of play. Benjamin Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lara in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Lara in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Benjamin Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Júnior Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Joinville Esporte Clube's Aílton Melo. In the 26th minute, Benjamin Lara made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Joinville Esporte Clube:s goal. The referee gave Joinville Esporte Clube a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benjamin Lara, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Lara got free with Benito Sanz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amauri Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Lara scored 5-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Joinville Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wágner Leme was substituted for Serginho Busquets. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 64th minute. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Jerry Uchiha sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Jerry Uchiha might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Uchiha ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Júnior Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Jerry Uchiha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Uchiha came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Jerry Uchiha notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 86 minutes of play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Uchiha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Jerry Uchiha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
