Julio Vera came out of the goal and Selçuk Demirtaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Inocencio Felipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The supporters of Ecuador booed when One Piece FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordeara Sanjuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio Hornilla got free with Julio Vera in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by One Piece FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but One Piece FC's Inocencio Felipo did a great save. Caio Hornilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Caio Hornilla came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caio Hornilla 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by One Piece FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 27 minutes into the match, One Piece FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Inocencio Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Sebastián Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sebastián Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Caio Hornilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Felipo having to interfere. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, One Piece FC's Serapio Reigada got a free kick in the 54th minute. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Caio Hornilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Hornilla came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Caio Hornilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. One Piece FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Hornilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caio Hornilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Hornilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Caio Hornilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Caio Hornilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Selçuk Demirtaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 played minutes One Piece FC got a freekick which was hit by Serapio Reigada. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Inocencio Felipo. That made the score 3-2 after 85 minutes of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute of the match One Piece FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Orlando Eneche ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because One Piece FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
