With an extended leg and a bit of luck Farid Mondragón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Farid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Mondragón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. C. A. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
