The supporters of Vista Alegre FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Valentín Carvallo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Robustiano Clementi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robustiano Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's Dudu Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Clementi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, Robustiano Clementi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Igor Souza made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Vista Alegre FC's Norberto de Azevedo was substituted for Dudu Magalhães. 73 minutes into the game, Robustiano Clementi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Valentín Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Clementi in the 80th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robustiano Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. When Robustiano Clementi came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Vista Alegre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Clementi couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Clementi went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
