The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Sengrat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Angelo Salbatore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Angelo Salbatore really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through Rivermania FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arturo Sengrat. After some careless play in the Rivermania FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Sengrat. The Rivermania FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Sengrat should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita scored 1-3 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arturo Sengrat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a left leg Arturo Sengrat saved Rivermania FC from getting behind. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Arturo Sengrat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Arturo Sengrat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Sengrat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Lauaxeta kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Arturo Sengrat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Arturo Sengrat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-10, to the right of Rivermania FC's Arturo Sengrat. Arturo Sengrat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rivermania FC's Arturo Sengrat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Rivermania FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Sengrat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rivermania FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Agustín Saelices scored to the left of an out of position Arturo Sengrat, making the score, 1-12.
