Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Mariano in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Austra 04 VFC's Yaroslav Lyubar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Yaroslav Lyubar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Austra 04 VFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yaroslav Lyubar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beila Mora took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Beila Mora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivar Dalman, made in the 60th minute of the game. A collision led to Austra 04 VFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Zachary Madej hit a great ball. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Hudson Gaúcho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Austra 04 VFC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Gaúcho came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austra 04 VFC's Sócrates Silva quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 74th minute of the game. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Austra 04 VFC's Raúl Perez. 82 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Austra 04 VFC's Raúl Perez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hudson Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Austra 04 VFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Austra 04 VFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austra 04 VFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
