Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luís de Moraes got the match started through his kick off. Luís de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Adilson de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adilson de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís de Moraes. After 15 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adilson de Alcântara who took care of the corner kick. Fabiano Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho das Neves in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Esperança FC's Adilson de Alcântara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. Fabiano Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho das Neves in the 32nd minute of play. Andrézinho das Neves hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Andrézinho das Neves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrézinho das Neves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabiano Saldanha having to make a save. Fabiano Saldanha came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Andrézinho das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Andrézinho das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabiano Saldanha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 62 minutes into the game, Esperança FC's Adilson de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 64th minute, Carlos Alberto Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hílton Mangueira during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Adilson de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís de Moraes in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Luís de Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adilson de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Esperança FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bastian Røyrvik hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Luís de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Luís de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andrézinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
