Rogerio Fontarigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Escribano went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes Flinston FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Rogerio Fontarigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Diogo Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Basílio Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Flinston FC - DMZ's Basílio Velasco got a free kick in the 31st minute. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rogerio Fontarigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flinston FC - DMZ's Rogerio Fontarigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th match minute, Flinston FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Flinston FC - DMZ's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogerio Fontarigo came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Flinston FC - DMZ's Duarte Seco got a free kick in the 54th minute. Diogo Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Oliveira in the 62nd minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Herruz in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Flinston FC - DMZ booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Herruz went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Albertinho da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Diogo Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Uruguay failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
