Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Moreira in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Moreira in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauro Moreira's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
