The crowd rose to their feet as Eustaquio Turi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Pontes in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sidney Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Figari. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Qiao Qing Xiao sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jose Carita hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Figari. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Figari went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Turi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Eustaquio Turi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Tomas Berganza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Perico Raya, passed just outside the right post. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Boiro's goalkeeper Perico Raya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Figari in the 70th minute of play. Edgar Figari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Edgar Figari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Perico Raya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Panama were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after CD Boiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. After 91 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Turi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Figari in the 95th minute of play. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
