Hugo Fidele's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Fidele helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes El ultimo got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Fidele. In the 21st minute, Julio Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Hugo Fidele made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mario Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Lluc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. After 30 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Benito Madrid. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Fidele in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 62nd minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Gualterio Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Fidele came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Francisco Gallo got a free kick in the 88th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Hugo Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El ultimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Fidele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eduardo Fontirroig was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. The supporters of El ultimo booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
