When the match had been going on for 9 minutes Cristian Sancho shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Svante Valrot when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Svante Valrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When ★ Lobos FC ★'s Haroldo Alfonso in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bryan Marant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Svante Valrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Svante Valrot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Sigaran in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Alfonso struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★ Lobos FC ★. ★ Lobos FC ★'s Haroldo Alfonso got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalkeeper Svante Valrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Kalle Österberg sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalkeeper Svante Valrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 65 minutes ★ Lobos FC ★'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ★ Lobos FC ★'s Svante Valrot did a great save. In the 66th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by ★ Lobos FC ★'s Misael Sigaran. But to his dismay, Misael Sigaran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Valrot having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalkeeper Svante Valrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Svante Valrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Svante Valrot was a little too slow when Luis Andino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Alfonso came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Svante Valrot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The ★ Lobos FC ★ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
