The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Carlos Andrade was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. With a little luck, Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sam Campbell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but João Carlos Andrade firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th minute Beto Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Futuros FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Luís Furtado took the corner. Sam Campbell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, João Carlos Andrade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Futuros FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
