Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Angelo Velasco came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Samuel Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Angelo Velasco came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 31st minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Velasco. Futbol Club RRFV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 33rd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes, Fausto Vimaro made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Martins in the 43rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The corner went over the outstretched arms of Futbol Club RRFV's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. In the 58th match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Lara to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Angelo Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The corner ended in Darko Mišura almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 65th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
