Alexsandro Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 3-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Comunardo Cerri elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2.
