Angelo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Velasco having to interfere. In the 20th minute Futbol Club RRFV were awarded a corner. Darko Mišura went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Norberto Lara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Angelo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 26th minute. In the 40th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Futbol Club RRFV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Velasco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Samuel Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Fausto Vimaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Futbol Club RRFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 46th minute, Fausto Vimaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Souza in the 57th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Velasco having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Fausto Vimaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Angelo Velasco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 洪延广 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 69th minute, 洪延广 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Angelo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Vimaro came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Souza in the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Samuel Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Fausto Vimaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Martins in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, André Luís Martins notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
