Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ilkka Markkula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 13 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Podador Raheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Podador Raheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Podador Raheiro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 25 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Estevan Hamdorf in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Podador Raheiro came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Podador Raheiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Podador Raheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Hüseyin Rahmi Toper's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hüseyin Rahmi Toper helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Podador Raheiro notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Podador Raheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Podador Raheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Yan Zhi Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Zhi Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Edström in the 72nd minute of the match. After 84 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Trayko Gradinarski who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Yan Zhi Chuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yan Zhi Chuan's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Ilkka Markkula made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Trayko Gradinarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Yan Zhi Chuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yan Zhi Chuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
