Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Abreu in the 43rd minute of the match. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson de Amorim having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Abreu in the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Maicon Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrianinho Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Filip Felenak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Felix Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Abreu in the 71st minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maicon Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Marcu Andrițoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Arí Negri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Adilson de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute Maicon Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Maicon Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Maicon Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the game, Arí Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Arí Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Adilson de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Abreu in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Red Dragon FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. The Red Dragon FC - DMZ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
