The referee ignored River CBBA's protests and gave Argoitz Abeijon a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Arano Abendano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Barovero skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Peru's Julian Murillo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Hector Enrique sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argoitz Abeijon in the 25th minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Barovero. River CBBA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Matías Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matías Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Barovero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Julian Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The River CBBA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Funes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Barovero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argoitz Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argoitz Abeijon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 69th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Enrique in the 73rd minute of play. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 93rd minute of play. Ponciano Abarca took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5.
