The referee showed Mazinho Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Grönlund having to interfere. Lúcio Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Simão in the 25th minute of the match. The Habilirows fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Guilherme Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 5-0 in the 44 minute of play. Edgar Grönlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute Zé Paulo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Edgar Grönlund managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lautaro Puig was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Habilirows's goalkeeper Edgar Grönlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
