The Club Almirante Brown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidoro Dolfos should have stopped the shot. After having played for 6 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Dolfos having to interfere. Benedicto Chale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes in the game, Benedicto Chale fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos managed to reach the ball for a save. Isidoro Dolfos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Dolfos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Chale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's Fabricio Lorencio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Severo Venceslas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Isidoro Dolfos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Isidoro Dolfos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Dolfos having to interfere. Isidoro Dolfos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lautaro Mancebo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 64 minute of play. Isidoro Dolfos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Abad, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidoro Dolfos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio was substituted for Felix Gines. Benedicto Chale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 87th minute of the match. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 90th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Dolfos having to interfere. Mexico played a much better game than Club Almirante Brown and deserved their victory. The Club Almirante Brown players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
