The audience was convinced that Rian Giggs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Kevin Mier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 14th minute of play. Kevin Mier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Rian Giggs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Mier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rian Giggs in the 37th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Antonio Masciarelli sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Rian Giggs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rian Giggs to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Cássio Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Cássio Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cássio Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cássio Correia hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Sabaneta FC's Yoel Magarinos was substituted for Firman Urquizu. Sabaneta FC made a substitution. Stanislaw Cempa replaced Antonio Masciarelli. Sabaneta FC's Osmundo Bolde was substituted for David Fuentes. Kevin Mier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rian Giggs in the 95th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabaneta FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
