Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Canalla Fuego's Ricky Kalischer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ricky Kalischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Villanueva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Kalischer in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricky Kalischer was slow to take the kick. During this time Canalla Fuego's players had a chance to rest. In the 13th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. In the 15th minute, Canalla Fuego got a penalty, and Aristides Villanueva placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Ricky Kalischer in the 23rd minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Clemente Benvido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Canalla Fuego booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Canalla Fuego's Aristides Villanueva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of play forced Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Rosini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Carlos Aimar replaced Aristides Villanueva. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Nicolae Honcioiu made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 56th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricky Kalischer took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Carlos Aimar struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canalla Fuego. Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla Fuego from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Clemente Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A collision led to Canalla Fuego getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Niceto Ponte hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Benvido having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Aimar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Benvido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute Carlos Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Canalla Fuego's Niceto Ponte got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Canalla Fuego fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
