Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Aimar took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 2nd minute of play forced Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Benvido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Aristides Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Canalla Fuego's Gigel Iuonaș got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Carlos Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Benvido. Canalla Fuego's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Aristides Villanueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Benvido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Clemente Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Clemente Benvido was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Gigel Iuonaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Benvido made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target.
