Ecuador's Cristian Sancho managed to work through Fortuna 86 Szczecin's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristian Sancho dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 8th minute Nencho Shumarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 11th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Nirvana, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Roberto Nirvana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stipe Pletikosa. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Nirvana in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55th play minutes Roberto Nirvana shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Fortuna 86 Szczecin made a substitution. Harun Mengüer replaced Roberto Nirvana. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nencho Shumarov in the 66th minute of the match. Ecuador were furious when Antonio Arias was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fortuna 86 Szczecin:s goal. Julio Vera had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Harun Mengüer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harun Mengüer in the 70th minute of the match. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Fortuna 86 Szczecin were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
