Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. In the 5th match minute, Inter de Melão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Fabinho Valladares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Inter de Melão getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Tobias Zachrisson hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Dias came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio-Paul Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Axel Tasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Claudio-Paul Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Farias in the 34th minute of play. Fabinho Valladares scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Farias in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Delfim Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Melão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Tobias Zachrisson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delfim Paraense made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Claudio-Paul Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Paraense in the 63rd minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Falcão Dias notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delfim Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Claudio-Paul Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Paraense in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Delfim Paraense who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Delfim Paraense almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz did a great save. When Inter de Melão's Tobias Zachrisson in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Gonçalo Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio-Paul Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Zachrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Paraense in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Inter de Melão were the better team. Inter de Melão's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
