With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Atilla Bumin Hızlan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilla Bumin Hızlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Jesús Martín from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gianluigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Bumin Hızlan in the 28th minute of the match. Jesús Martín recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 34 in the game by Atilla Bumin Hızlan from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Atilla Bumin Hızlan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Sergey Nikiforenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergey Nikiforenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Atilla Bumin Hızlan to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilla Bumin Hızlan went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gianluigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Bumin Hızlan in the 71st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Laureano Gaskon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Defensores del Tiki Tiki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Lucian didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 88th minute of the match Laureano Gaskon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute, Justino Kaxen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 92ndth minute of the game Hampus Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Kaxen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Defensores del Tiki Tiki players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
