After 2 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 4th minute, Timoteo Gorosti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Păvăloae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play. Daniel Păvăloae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced Metal Juniors's goalkeeper Daniel Păvăloae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Metal Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Păvăloae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Daniel Păvăloae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Eloy Gaufred got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Păvăloae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Daniel Păvăloae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Metal Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Păvăloae showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Dennis. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Păvăloae. Daniel Păvăloae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Gervasio Favila fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metal Juniors's protests and gave Gervasio Favila a yellow card for diving instead. The Metal Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Daniel Păvăloae in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Metal Juniors's Daniel Păvăloae got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Cristian Sancho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Dennis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Felix Montenegro in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Metal Juniors's Timoteo Gorosti. In the 78th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Păvăloae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes Metal Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Emilio Bibiano tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Daniel Păvăloae. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goalkeeper Daniel Păvăloae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Martín Palermo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Păvăloae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Păvăloae. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Daniel Păvăloae made a huge save.
