Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severo Elorri kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Thomas Melse sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Óscar De Simone during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 31 minutes into the game, Igor Berdaitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forever Tango's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Óscar De Simone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Baudelio. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Rolando Baudelio made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goalkeeper Rolando Baudelio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar De Simone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Forever Tango.
