Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Genaro Elivareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute Cecilio Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Abuba Akotonon FC's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cecilio Tristan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 9 minutes into the match, Cecilio Tristan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Tristan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Emanuel Aurre with Ariel Artaldo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 17th minute of the match. Cecilio Tristan took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Barbosa came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Genaro Elivareo hit a great ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Aurre got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rene Sanson. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Sanson in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Genaro Elivareo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
