After 8 played minutes, Karapinar's Çağdaş Ersayın shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karapinar reached it. Marcus Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 10th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Karapinar defense, Tomas Berganza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Mazza. The Karapinar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Mazza should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Okan Golovichev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karapinar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mikail Öztan struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karapinar. Alex Cambeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Cambeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Yamaç in the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Okan Golovichev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karapinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Okan Golovichev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Baki Yamaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthew Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Okan Golovichev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Okan Golovichev slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 36th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game Okan Golovichev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Okan Golovichev put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla.

The wind increased when Okan Golovichev made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Okan Golovichev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Berganza's late challenge caught a Karapinar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Panama were furious when Aaron Barrios was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 75th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. The referee gave Karapinar a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Okan Golovichev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 7-1. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karapinar's goalkeeper Marcus Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Okan Golovichev came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Golovichev in the 95th minute of play. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet.
