FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Mădălin Buzgar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Marosz in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Roch Marosz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mădălin Buzgar. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roch Marosz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. But to his dismay, Roch Marosz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Jerzy Winszman got a free kick in the 26th minute. Mădălin Buzgar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Marosz in the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dorin Chirtoacă hit a great ball. The supporters of WZG Sandomierz booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Ghionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mădălin Buzgar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roch Marosz's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Zbigniew Pryputnicki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mădălin Buzgar skillfully saved the ball. Dariusz Kostrzewa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Napoleon Odachowski took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mădălin Buzgar. Mădălin Buzgar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After some careless play in the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt defense, Wasyl Juchno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mădălin Buzgar. The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mădălin Buzgar should have stopped the shot.
