Nacional de Rolândia's Di Sordi got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cosa nostra Lyon's Ahmid Lamouroux got control of the ball when André Luiz Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nacional de Rolândia were furious when Rafael Toscano was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Nacional de Rolândia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cosa nostra Lyon:s goal. Nelson Singer walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a rather tough play, Nacional de Rolândia's Kauã Barral got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute, André Luiz Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luiz Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Nacional de Rolândia booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Belon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moïse Pilot came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cosa nostra Lyon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moïse Pilot couldn't finish the play. Vivaldo Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moïse Pilot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Recife was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Brice Idoux capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brice Idoux really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 68th minute Moïse Pilot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Cosa nostra Lyon's Steven Lebreton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gonçalo Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Nacional de Rolândia got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Leme. Nelson Singer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Nacional de Rolândia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moïse Pilot, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Paul-Émile Caillaud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vivaldo Recife. That made the score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. If André Luiz Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmid Lamouroux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Di Sordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nacional de Rolândia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cosa nostra Lyon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
