Inácio Silveira took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conrado Martxot. Conrado Martxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Hélio Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conrado Martxot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Peres went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Eugênio Pires put in a rough tackle. In the 17th minute, Eugênio Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano booed when Manantiales Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Peres in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Martxot saved Manantiales Fc from getting behind. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Remo Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute Aurelio Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélio Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Nunez Segio sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo Peres to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Peres in the 52nd minute of play forced Manantiales Fc's goalkeeper Conrado Martxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Remo Peres hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Inácio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Martxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Martxot made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Inácio Silveira sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Manantiales Fc getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Urbano Goren hit a great ball. Denis Dolfos hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Remo Peres shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Manantiales Fc's Conrado Martxot to catch but Remo Peres was lucky. It became 0-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Manantiales Fc's Conrado Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Peres in the 79th minute of play. Inácio Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Conrado Martxot made a huge save. If Remo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Emerson Abreu hit a great ball. Hélio Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
