In the 7th minute Alexandre Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, B-S-L's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Baptista came free, but Hermínio Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ediberto Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored B-S-L's protests and gave Ediberto Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Ediberto Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Fabiofs were furious when Gustavo Valadares was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 16 minutes into the game, one of Fabiofs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave B-S-L a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jailson Cardoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fabiofs's João Pedro Martins. 0-1. João Pedro Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, B-S-L's Ediberto Travassos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Dante in the 24th minute of play forced B-S-L's goalkeeper Hermínio Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of B-S-L booed when Fabiofs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiofs's João Pedro Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Ferraz in the 34th minute of play. João Pedro Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Freire. João Pedro Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Ferraz in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute João Adolfo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Alexandre Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano Velloso to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in B-S-L's zone, Erik Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Arce came out of the goal and Erik Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Anderson Domingues got a free kick in the 56th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Vinhas during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Orlando Vinhas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Fabiofs's João Pedro Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Fabiofs from getting a goal against them. João Pedro Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Fontes in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Tostão Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Arce having to interfere. Hermínio Arce came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Fabiofs's Erik Dante. But to his dismay, Erik Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 72nd match minute, B-S-L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Veiga to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro Martins made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ediberto Travassos sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Breckenfeld kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Pedro Martins. That made the score 1-3 in the 81 minute of play. João Pedro Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Breckenfeld in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Ediberto Travassos notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Fabiofs's João Pedro Martins. João Pedro Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice moves Alexandre Breckenfeld could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which João Pedro Martins however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Fabiofs's João Pedro Martins got control of the ball when Guga Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 96 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Vinhas. If Jailson Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded B-S-L left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fabiofs.
