An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Monaco in the 4th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Jonah Peck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Julian Corcoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Carney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Concetto Tiberio made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Dustin Thome left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Canalla de Chicago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Dario Cardillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merceron United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Cardillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, El Canalla de Chicago's Clark Lindsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Concetto Tiberio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Merceron United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Nicolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Tiberio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Carney, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Kent Carney's late challenge caught a Merceron United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Carney helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Kent Carney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Craig Rhoades got a free kick in the 39th minute. Dario Cardillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonah Peck. El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernie Rosales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Concetto Tiberio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Carney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Tiberio having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolph Thurman in the 52nd minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Concetto Tiberio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Carney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Concetto Tiberio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Clark Lindsey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Concetto Tiberio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Scott Souza replaced Bernie Rosales. Frank Pizzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Peck having to interfere. Jonah Peck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Pizzi in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Clark Lindsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Canalla de Chicago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Dario Cardillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonah Peck made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Alfredo Monaco sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Filippo Corna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Clark Lindsey notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Merceron United's Concetto Tiberio. Concetto Tiberio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Lindsey in the 87th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Concetto Tiberio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dario Cardillo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Merceron United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Cardillo couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Scott Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Concetto Tiberio. Merceron United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Scott Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Alfredo Monaco kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Souza came free, but Concetto Tiberio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Canalla de Chicago had played much better football throughout.
