Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kiko Martins took the kick off in the first half of the match. Elói Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Monaco in the 6th minute of play. Elói Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Pizzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Martins came free, but Concetto Tiberio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Galo na Veia FC™'s Concetto Tiberio threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nelson Valladares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Galo na Veia FC™ booed when Merceron United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Pizzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Jeremias Lago got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Martins in the 31st minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Concetto Tiberio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa Domingues was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. Elói Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Monaco in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Pedrinho Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galo na Veia FC™'s Elói Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Pizzi in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Monaco made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Frank Pizzi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elói Medeiros. Frank Pizzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 58 minutes into the game, Nelson Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Concetto Tiberio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yuri Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Tiberio having to interfere. Joel Ramalho scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Tiberio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Concetto Tiberio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Monaco came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elói Medeiros could save by the left post. 71 minutes into the game, Jeremias Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merceron United the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Merceron United's Alfredo Monaco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After 78 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Longo. Nelson Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Dario Cardillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elói Medeiros. Dario Cardillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Nelson Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Concetto Tiberio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Merceron United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
