Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Plaza Jewell's Dalmacio Cucao started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Oinatz in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmacio Cucao got free with Tony Van Der Weghen in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Gregorie Van Beersel. If Eulalio Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Felix Oskarbi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmacio Cucao who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Tony Van Der Weghen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 13th minute Richy Wiggers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Cucao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Tony Van Der Weghen made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Haritzeder in the 19th minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Cucao in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 minutes FC Bruges's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aldo Oinatz who took care of the corner kick. Tomas Loi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Oinatz came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Cucao cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tony Van Der Weghen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Marcelino Haritzeder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tony Van Der Weghen, 2-0. The supporters of FC Bruges booed when Plaza Jewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Oskarbi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richy Wiggers in the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Tony Henderickx made the kick off in the second half. FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Cordarrel in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmacio Cucao in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Van Der Weghen saved FC Bruges from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Cucao came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bruges's zone, Marcelino Haritzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Van Der Weghen came out of the goal and Marcelino Haritzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Plaza Jewell made a substitution. Luis Asur replaced Edgardo Abeitia. Richy Wiggers took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Stephen. Everardo Stephen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Cucao in the 69th minute of play. FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Cucao in the 71st minute of play. Tony Van Der Weghen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmacio Cucao's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute Eulalio Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match, Richy Wiggers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Everardo Stephen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eulalio Cordarrel hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Dalmacio Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plaza Jewell's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Lorenzo Loozen scored to the left of an out of position Everardo Stephen, making the score, 2-2. Everardo Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richy Wiggers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, FC Bruges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Opdebeeck to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes, Plaza Jewell's Aldo Oinatz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Plaza Jewell reached it. Despite being the better team, Plaza Jewell failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
