Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leon Richie, made in the 3rd minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven de Zwaan in the 5th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. When Argentinos Juniors's Petruț Fințescu in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. When Petruț Fințescu in the 21st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jonathan Ferrant kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentinos Juniors's Denis Mero. But to his dismay, Denis Mero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Petruț Fințescu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentinos Juniors. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Fințescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Fințescu in the 36th minute of play. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Sven de Zwaan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 40 minutes into the game, Sven de Zwaan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven de Zwaan in the 43rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven de Zwaan. After 47 minutes, Petruț Fințescu made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petruț Fințescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sven de Zwaan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, Argentinos Juniors's Sven de Zwaan made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eleuterio Milian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When Argentinos Juniors's Petruț Fințescu in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Mero in the 61st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven de Zwaan in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Wilson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Argentinos Juniors's Robert Wilson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. The audience was convinced that Mats Falch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ruperto Matei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Argentinos Juniors's Eustacio Raebert was substituted for Sven de Zwaan. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustacio Raebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Fințescu in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Robert Wilson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentinos Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0.
