The supporters of EL PEPO FC booed when SC Conceição was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, EL PEPO FC's Joaquin Tonio got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Romeu Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, EL PEPO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Rosado came free, but Ezequiel Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Salvino in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Romeu Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Conceição's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeu Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Boniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Bide charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Bide the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes EL PEPO FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Bide. Cacá da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Romeu Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When EL PEPO FC's Elvio Rainerio in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Elvio Rainerio made the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Rainerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. A collision led to SC Conceição getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Manfredo Marinho hit a great ball. SC Conceição's Edvaldo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Rainerio in the 59th minute of play. Álvaro Arósio's late challenge caught a EL PEPO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes SC Conceição got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Arósio. After 62 played minutes, EL PEPO FC's Pascual Rey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvaldo Saldanha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EL PEPO FC reached it. If Serafim Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EL PEPO FC made a substitution. Tomás Satordi replaced Gaspar Fernendo. Edvaldo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Salvino in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Cacá da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Conceição's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL PEPO FC the free kick. Celso Inge took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edvaldo Saldanha. SC Conceição's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernardo Salvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvaldo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Rainerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Manfredo Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bernardo Salvino came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the EL PEPO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Salvino couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that EL PEPO FC were the better team. EL PEPO FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
