To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olliver Todman was the one to do the kick off. When Leandro Eufemio fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caricancha's protests and gave Leandro Eufemio a yellow card for diving instead. Caricancha's Omar Telmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Caricancha from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Martino in the 57th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
