Sílvio Luís Pinhos short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Reynaldo Savion to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 28 minutes into the game, Bahía é Carnaval's Genaro Hernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 31stth minute of the game Sílvio Luís Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Reynaldo Savion managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Sílvio Luís Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Genaro Hernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Hernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Bahía é Carnaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliciano Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Zé Roberto Cearense got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Reynaldo Savion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luís Pinho's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Domingues. Reynaldo Savion came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Sílvio Luís Pinho. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Hílton Guedes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Bahía é Carnaval's Francisco Orlo was substituted for Froilan Gau. In the 78th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Orlo to maneuver through the defense. Bahía é Carnaval made a substitution. Alejandro Tavio replaced Guillermo Ramone. In the 80th minute, Francisco Orlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Roberto Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Pinho in the 86th minute of play. Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Pinho in the 89th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Bahía é Carnaval's Juan Azevedo threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Genaro Hernandez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 95 minutes in the game, Francisco Orlo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Juan Azevedo having to interfere. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ were furious when Afonsinho Figueiredo was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Paulino Domingues, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
