The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Jeraldo in the 3rd minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Arthur Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Cedro went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Diablofaryd F.C. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Elvio Laurgain hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Pedrinho Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Rolado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia Santista CIMZ's Arthur Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Ibañez in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Diablofaryd F.C.'s Elvio Laurgain got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Arsenio Jeraldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Sergipano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 23 played minutes Academia Santista CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Terra. In the 31st minute, Victoriano Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego de Medeiros in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimeno Rolado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 38th minute Claudio Ibañez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Jeraldo in the 41st minute of the match. After the first half Diablofaryd F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arsenio Jeraldo was the one to do the kick off. Elvio Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arsenio Jeraldos short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Arthur Sergipano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 58 in the game by Arsenio Jeraldo from a close distance when the talented Arthur Sergipano managed to make a qualified save. Academia Santista CIMZ's players were relieved. The supporters of Diablofaryd F.C. booed when Academia Santista CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Cedro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arthur Sergipano came out and tried to block the shot, but Domingos Cedro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 62nd minute. Arthur Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Claudio Ibañez sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Arsenio Jeraldo made a precise shot to the right of Arthur Sergipano. Academia Santista CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Arthur Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Arsenio Jeraldo sent off a good shot on target. Arthur Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Ibañez went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the match, Elvio Laurgain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arthur Sergipano, 0-6. Domingos Cedro's late challenge caught a Academia Santista CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Cedro helped the player get up and apologised. Domingos Cedro kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Jimeno Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
